About Bram Russell

Bram Russell is a passionate leader, coach, and culture strategist who has spent his career helping teams and organizations discover what’s possible when people feel inspired to lead. Over the past three decades, he’s built and guided high-performing sales and operational teams across Canada, earning a reputation for his ability to turn vision into action and teams into communities of trust and accountability.

Bram’s leadership journey didn’t begin in a boardroom. It started on the basketball court. As both a player and coach, he learned early that success depends not only on talent but on the culture around him; the invisible force that shapes how people show up for each other. Those lessons have stayed with him throughout his professional career. Whether leading national sales teams or mentoring emerging leaders, Bram saw repeatedly that when people feel connected, valued, and trusted, performance follows naturally.

That realization became the foundation for Breakway Consulting, a company born from his desire to help others build workplaces where people don’t just work together, they grow together. Bram founded Breakway to help organizations “break away” from traditional, compliance-based management styles and instead build leadership cultures rooted in authenticity, accountability, and purpose.
